This dramatic range of work has been inspired by the thrill of formulating dreams. Dreams are what make our lives so exciting – the ability to create endless possibilities for ourselves, limited only, by the confines of our vivid imaginations. In the world of our dreams, anything is possible. It is then our decision whether or not to make these dreams our 'reality' by drawing on our vast resources of talent, ability and positive energy. In the majority of pieces from this collection, I have used a black background to contrast with exceptionally vibrant colours to portray the energy that is awakened when we are creating our dreams. The luminous colours spill onto the dark background symbolising how our creative energy spills into even the most mundane parts of our lives once it is allowed flourish. In addition to the black/luminous combination, I also created some pieces in this range in shades of red/red and brown/gold. Each of these colour combinations represents different dreams for me but I will let you draw your own conclusions.
